ABOUT

me

hi! just in case you wanted to know a little more about me and what im like..... I’m Jacke, makeup artist, self-proclaimed “thrift enthusiast”, freelance designer, lover of all things creative, home decor addict, and mommy to 4 littles.

my passion for all things beauty and design is just who i am, and has fueled me since I could hold a crayon or lipstick; but the person i am has been shaped by indescribable blessings as well as pain and heartache I never imagined (well, shaped mostly by my hairstylist mom and best friend, who happens to be the defintion of beautiful and COOL might I add). my past has been enriched by challenges, including a traumatic brain injury and near death experience, but it's taught me resilience and the beauty of imperfection. I believe my experiences allow me to relate to almost anynone in some capacity, and connect with others on a deeper level, fostering genuine relationships with my clients that extend beyond a single service

I have a deep love for the simple things In life and the people and places that feel like home. I am a small-town girl at heart with an old soul (I swear I was born in the wrong decade), I embrace Midwestern Hoosier traditions, family values, unwavering faith, and country music. Contradictory to everything I just described, I’ve always been drawn to glamour, style , fashion, and pop culture , and I’ve been known to put up a pretty decent fight defending the Kardashians (dont hold It against me...Im not sorry).

Creativity fuels my spirit, and I enjoy infusing beauty into every aspect of life, and when I’m not playing in liptick and mascara, you can probably find me at a Goodwill, “thrifting” and searching for new treasures I can’t live without; OR I might also be diving into home decor projects, designing everything from printable invitations to freehand calligraphy signs, home Interiors/makeovers, or organizing a closet or pantry somewhere.

As a mom of four, my children are my biggest inspiration, reminding me to teach them that beauty isnt about covering yourself up with makeup. I make sure to see things through their eyes, what truly matters, and be intentional with what I focus on (things like keeping my daughter out of my makeup, phone, and favorite Sharpie pens). I am so grateful for the grace that enables me to do what I love, the time and ability to raise my sweet babies, and excitement to focus on whatever adventure is to come!

I hope to soon launch an online shop featuring second-hand treasures and home decor, and i am always open to new opportunities/creative projects, so don’t shy away from any questions or requests!! Stay tuned. Thanks for reading and visiting.
